David Beckham With A Roadside Assist

It's not a big surprise to see David Beckham assisting with goals when he's on the pitch, but the man famous for his bending earned a point with a British motorist on Wednesday.

Becks pulled over to help Paul Long, a photographer whose Nissan Primera was stuck on a roundabout for about 10 minutes while the latter was taking his two children to school.

From the BBC:

"Eventually I saw a car pull over in the distance and a man in a hoodie got out. He pulled the hood down and as he got nearer to the car I realised it was David Beckham. My instinctive reaction was to say: 'You're David Beckham'."
After asking if the family was okay, Beckham helped pushed the car out of traffic and to the side of the road. Eventually another driver pulled over to ask if everything was okay.

For his part, Beckham apparently didn't say much, although it sounds like he may not have been able to get too many words in with his starstruck stranded motorist. Long says he told Beckham "I love you, mate", which is probably something he hears quite a bit of everyday...provided he's not talking to LA Galaxy fans.
