Who Is The Greatest Laker Of All Time
This is one of the best debates that can never be settled. Who is the greatest Laker of all-time? I have the hardest time thinking what the greatest laker should be,the first name the comes to mind is Earvin "Magic" Johnson. But that is the only name that should count when you talk to about a franchise and celebrated as the Lakers. When they say Lakers, they say winners and when they say winners Magic is the 1st name that comes to mind. This by no means is a disrespect to Kobe Bryant, because Kobe has pushed Magic for this title for some time now.
My point has nothing to do with stats or who has the most championships but who name and smile and face comes to mind when you think of the Lakers. He is on the Mount Rushmore of Los Angeles you have Magic, Wayne Gretzky, Phil Jackson, Tommy Lasorda and Albert Puljos. OK, Im just kidding about Puljos but does Kobe deserve to be up there with those others. He is still playing and probably go down as the greatest Lakers when it is all said and done. But I'm not ready to kick Magic off the throne as of yet. Til this day Magic is the city of Los Angeles, he is the heart beat that pumps blood through the city. When you jut say the name "Magic" you can let it stand on its own and it just brings a smile on your face. Not only was he the greatest point guard to like, he was the greatest human being for the city of angeles. His community work is people of his stature need to do with their money.
Now I'm not saying that Magic was a saint of any kind but he was dam close. By the way he beat HIV..top that Kobe.
